Background. On metal-cutting machines, in mechanical assembly production and everyday life, vices of various designs are widelyused, which, as a rule, have constant structure one kinematic chain from the engine (or manual drive) to clamping elements –jaws. The vast majority them adapted for cylindrical objects (parts) with plane-parallel sides. At same time,in production, well during repair work, it often becomes necessary clamp spherical, wedge-shaped, conical,and irregularly shaped objects.Objective. purpose paper is propose morphological set universal taking into account achievements inthe theory fractals alternatives new features state, type execution mobility elements, come upwith formulae vices.Methods.
